Nearly finished this wonderful book. Back to library with it tomorrow.

Interestingly, Ben Watt reports in this book that he has been on a similar sonic journey to the one that I'd noticed that Radio 1 DJ Annie Nightingale has taken - viz. from songs with strong lyrical content to electronic music almost devoid of any language.

That's definitely the journey, I've been on, too.
